2nd. INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF
IN LATIN AMERICA
FICFE arises from the interest towards music originally composed for female voices; based on the need of having presence in the cultural artistic and Latin-American field. Since the music is language, expression and communication, its form and its message can receive so many interpretations as listeners who devote themselves to its scout, contemplation and enjoyment. Those who take part of the experience of singing in a choir relate to music across three basic functions: listening, creation and interpretation.
FICFE is an independent cultural project, and its purpose is to generate and consolidate a space of meeting and exchange among choral groups made up by women of Latin America and the rest of the world. The Festival aims to share different repertoires, projects and cultural experiences, through concerts and workshops taught by recognized celebrities of the international choral´s area.
FICFE will be carried out every two years, with headquarters in different countries of Latin America. Its first edition was held in the city of Puerto Madryn, province of Chubut, Argentina, in November 2019. Its second edition will be developed in Tlajomulco, state of Jalisco, Mexico, from March 14 to 20, 2021.
